How I Met My Wife

Music by Sophia Ramos, not Sonya Ramos. Her voice reminds me a little of the lead singer of La Oreja de Van Gogh.

Here’s the post I talked about from BoingBoing.net about smoking etiquette in Japan.

Rich Pav

Richard has been living in Japan since 1990 with his wife and two teenage sons, Tony and Andy.

  1. The firework display seems so romantic! Or maybe I’m imagining a too much anime-like scene…

  2. Hmm…in Kumamoto, which would definitely count as southern Japan, we stand to the left side on escalators.

Funny…I hate teaching my evening adult English class too, and that’s where I met my current girlfriend, too. BTW, how long did you date your wife before you married her?

  3. You like La Oreja de Van Gogh!? Wow… totally unexpected 🙂 I mean, the music you use to put in the podcast or talk about is sooo much better.

I enjoyed this episode too, thanks for a nice podcast.

  5. Rich, I heard you lighting up and the end. What happened to thinking about kissing your boss evertime you felt like smoking? 😉

  6. あのう・・・7th Sonの著書名はJ.R. Hutchinsじゃないんだ。
    かれの名前はJ.C. Hutchinsだよ。
Haha.. I congradulate myself on using my crappy Japanese.
But yes.. 7th Son is completely addicting.

Your story’s cute~ I suppose your wife doesn’t need to study English anymore.. she can just make you talk. 😛
