Recently my boss was talking to someone from Microsoft Japan who verified the commonly-given advice to wait until SP1 is out before upgrading to Vista. They’re not even using it internally at Microsoft yet because there are too many bugs.

sad. and hilarious!
I agree with Mike — what if GM built a truck but suggested that their employees hold off using it (let alone buy one) until the bugs could be worked out? 😀
These days even the largest corporations can’t prevent the truth from seeping out between the cracks. All that money spent on making Vista’s release date seem like an international holiday…
I heard there where a lot of problems. Replacing the start button with the windows insignia confused a lot of people I heard, which I found to be funny.
I’d agree, I’m interning at Intel and we had several groups testing Vista up until release and the bugs they were having issues with still weren’t fixed. IT doesn’t even plan migrate to Vista for at least a year.
get a mac
If I had the money just laying around I would seriously consider it, especially now that they also run Windows. I was a Mac Zealot until seven years ago when I started working for a multinational company and was forced to switch, but there’s not emotional connection. Which frankly, is the way it should be, considering it’s just a machine.
Do Mac laptops still roast users’ testicles, or was the problem fixed when they switched to Intel?
hmmmm, Dell laptops burn down houses 😉
I think saw a headline about that recently. It was Sony batteries, actually, and their profits plunged 95% because of the recall.
Were you planning on having any more kids? 😀 I cannot speak for recent Mac laptops – mine is 7 years old and still going strong (running latest OS X, too!)
Is it possible to download, install and switch to English language pack in Windows Vista Ultimate Japanese O/S ?
