I just asked my 14yr old son Andy if there are any classes he likes. It was taking him so long to answer that I wasn’t sure if he understood what I was asking.
Are there any classes you look forward to having?
Are there any classes that make you think, “I like learning this?”
He still couldn’t answer.
“Do you hate all your classes?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
「うるさいから」
“Who’s noisy, the kids or the teachers?” (A teacher who constantly bitches and yells and berates students can be うるさい)
“The kids.”
“So there are so many kids in your classes who misbehave that it makes it hard to learn anything”
“Yes.”
“Have you ever talked to the teacher about it?”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Because they already know.”
“Have they given up?”
“Yes.”
