It smells like a bonfire made from burning tires on a New Jersey beach at low tide on a hot summer day.
Guess which family resturant. Easy question for anyone who’s lived in Japan.
Rich Pav
Richard has been living in Japan since 1990 with his wife and two teenage sons, Tony and Andy.
That looks very odd for someone who has eaten noodles with marinara sauce his whole life. I would definitely give it a go though!
Seriously taste tht bad? LOL~
I guess i’ll stick to kappa maki. =D
I like “ika sumi” spaghetti, but “ika sumi jiru” or squid ink soup ROCKS!
Is that a Jonathans’ plate…?

hey rich, I haven’t tried the Squid ink pasta, but I did try the Squid ink curry at CoCo Ichi a couple of years back. I don’t remember the smell, but the taste was surprisingly good! I recommend it if you see it around, usually shows up at the end of summer/early fall.

I had those last week in Spain, they’re actually quite good once you get over that first feeling of disgust 😛

At least it will give you freak Warlock powers. Like the power to create violent streams of liquid ink yourself; but you can only attack your underpants with it, unfortunately.
I actually had that junk in America. It was thoroughly awful.
the wierd thing is JUST yesterday some one in my class was saying that they have this and I only saw this post today… it looks gross…
It smells as gross as it looks, and it turns your teeth and tongue black. But I’ll eat anything as long as it fits someone’s definition of food.
